About

My First Act

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1952, I immigrated to the US, then Israel, and ultimately to Canada by the age of 16. I completed a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Organizational Behaviour at the University of Waterloo by 1980.

My Second Act

I built a successful career in high technology with Univac, Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems — including eight years with Sun in Palo Alto, California — as well as several entrepreneurial high-growth companies in international sales and marketing. In 2002, I stepped down from corporate life to be home with my daughters as a single dad. In 2004 I launched a new career as a TEC Canada Chairman, leading multiple CEO and VP peer groups in Ottawa — now in my 22nd year of what has become the most rewarding professional chapter of my life.

My Third Act

In December 2018 a bad fall — thankfully just a concussion with no lasting effects — marked a turning point I call the beginning of my Third Act. I reduced my work commitments to less than 34 weeks a year, focused on what I love most, and finally created and launched Carlos Fox Photography.

My Photography

I am a citizen of the world. I treasure the diversity of landscapes, cultures, people, foods and experiences our planet offers. My photography is about sharing the privilege of having travelled to over 40 countries — capturing beauty, humanity, and the extraordinary moments hiding inside ordinary days.

I believe we are all CEOs of our own lives. Capturing the human experience is both uplifting and humbling. I hope my photographs inspire, provoke, educate, or simply give you a feel-good moment and a smile.

Every print is available as a museum-quality wall print, produced by Pictorem and shipped anywhere in Canada. I respond to all emails personally within 48 hours.
